Thanks to Brandon Turbeville for connecting the dots on the US-Israel-Saudi plan to take down Bashar al-Assad and Syria. Turbeville reminds us of an article published by TIME in 2006.
TIME revealed a leaked two-page document circulating amongst key figures in the Bush administration that openly stated that the U.S. was “supporting regular meetings of internal and diaspora Syrian activists” in Europe. The document made no bones about expressing hope that “these meetings will facilitate a more coherent strategy and plan of actions for all anti-Assad activists.”

It was a fool’s errand.
On the day Donald Trump was elected his supporters asked him to pardon the founder and frontman of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange. They flooded social media demanding Assange be allowed to leave the Ecuadorian embassy in London without arrest and extradition to the United States.
Stone silence from Trump and his administration.

That’s what Time magazine tweeted this morning. It is trying to place the blame for Trump’s immigration policy—specifically, his separation policy—on all Americans. Time wants us to stand up for the children.

During the election, I wrote a little ebook titled “Donald Trump’s War on Islam.” In addition to pointing out Trump’s pandering to Islamophobia, I wrote about his association with a number of neocons, including Frank Gaffney and John Bolton, who is now his national security adviser. “I think John Bolton’s a good man,” Trump told the Hugh Hewitt Show.
“I watched him yesterday, actually, and he was very good in defending me in some of my views, and very, very strong. And I’ve always liked John Bolton. Well, we are thinking about it, Hugh [nominating Bolton as secretary of state]. I will say that. We are thinking about it. I mean, the negative is what I told you. But we are seriously thinking about it.”

In my exchanges in the twitterverse, I have experienced a remarkable degree of ignorance concerning the history of Iran and Syria.
MAGA supporters, in particular, seem clueless.
Iran hates us, they insist, and they want to wipe Israel off the map. Plus they are trying to get the capability to attack us with nukes, so that’s why we have to attack them first.

National Security Adviser John Bolton is lying again.
He says the US has no intention of invading Iran, taking it back to the Stone Age like he and his fellow neocons did to Iraq in 2003.
On Tuesday, the Washington Examiner reported:

Following the failure of Bibi Netanyahu’s Iran-has-nukes PR gimmick, the Israelis are desperate for an incident to get their long awaited war with Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran going.
Haaretz reports that Israel officials “believe” Iran will retaliate after the IDF attacked them on April 9 in Syria. Close to a month has passed and the Iranians have not responded, obviously realizing the consequences.

Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repackaged a cobbled together pack of old lies. He is trying to sell it to gullible Americans as new and startling revelations about an Iranian nuclear program that doesn’t exist.
Bibi gave a video presentation at the Israeli defense ministry today. He had some props and a big screen for slides. He warned about Iran’s “Amad Plan” to secretly and illegally manufacture nuclear bombs.

Mehdi Hasan, a mainstream journo who’s written for big league propaganda media and hosts a program on Al Jazeera English—state owned by Salafi fanatics in Doha, Qatar—thinks we have a “soft spot” for Bashar al-Assad.
