The Sarah Huckabee Sanders Distraction

Over the last dew days, social media has obsessed over a decision made by the manager of a Red Hen restaurant in Virginia to show Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family the door.

“I just served Sarah Huckabee Sanders for a total of 2 minutes before my owner kicked her out along with 7 of her other family members,” staff member Jaike Foley-Schultz said on Facebook.

Poof. There Goes the Mueller Investigation

The corporate media is reporting intrepid crusader Robert Mueller is preparing to do a Pontius Pilate on his special council investigation of Russia and the Trump campaign.

According to WaPo, Mueller has beefed up his team with a number of prosecutors and the job of prosecuting Russian nationals for supposedly influencing the 2016 election will be fobbed off on them.

The Murder of Julian Assange

It was a fool’s errand.

On the day Donald Trump was elected his supporters asked him to pardon the founder and frontman of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange. They flooded social media demanding Assange be allowed to leave the Ecuadorian embassy in London without arrest and extradition to the United States.

Stone silence from Trump and his administration.

Trump Quits UN Human Rights Council. Is War the Next Step?

Trump’s support for Israel and its systematic slaughter of Palestinians took a beating this week when the United Nations flat out rejected a resolution introduced by the intrepid Nikki Haley. She wants to blame the Palestinians for Israel murdering them in the hundreds.

The UN rejected this and condemned Israel for its “excessive, disproportionate and indiscriminate” force against Palestinian civilians. 120 nations voted in favor of the resolution. Eight voted against, led by the United States and Israel. This resulted in the United States withdrawing from the UN Human Rights Council in protest.

No, I Will Not Sue the SPLC for Defamation of Character

In 2012, I was described by the Southern Poverty Law Center to be “among the biggest spinners of conspiracy theories in the United States.”

So, what conspiracy theory did the SPLC call me out on? It’s a bit of forgotten and ignored history. The FBI infiltrated and controlled the Ku Klux Klan in the 1960s.

What Kind of Country Are We?

That’s what Time magazine tweeted this morning. It is trying to place the blame for Trump’s immigration policy—specifically, his separation policy—on all Americans. Time wants us to stand up for the children.

France Debates Ministry of Truth Law

The French state is debating if it should impose a draconian censorship law ahead of European parliamentary polls next year. The demand to regulate the speech of the French people came directly from President Emmanuel Macron.

It’s personal for Macron. During the 2017 election campaign, he was miffed by online rumors that he is gay and has an offshore bank account in the Bahamas.

Obama’s Dirty Political Tricks. It’s an America Tradition

It’s amusing in a cynical sort of way that everybody—well, at least Trump supporters and his loyal MAGA crowd—are outraged by Obama’s spies in the Trump campaign and revelations of the administration’s dirty tricks, including a sting of Trump aides by the Department of Justice and the FBI.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) said “new information begs the questions: Who were the informants working for, who were they reporting to and why has the [Department of Justice] and FBI gone to such great lengths to hide these contacts?”

Trump Only Notices Mass Surveillance When He is the Victim

From Donald Trump’s perspective, the intelligence operation directed against his presidential campaign is “one of the biggest political scandals in U.S. history.”

The Donald doesn’t like to read. He prefers his information in small digestible chunks, delivered verbally by aides, who are increasingly neocon in orientation. Fox News is his primary source of political information.

Yulia Skripal: Double, Brainwashed, or Threatened?

yulia skripal

Yulia Skripal has appeared in a video. From the Independent on Thursday:

She was filmed at an anonymous park-like location, reading a handwritten statement about her plight. In substance, what she said added almost nothing to the two statements issued by the Metropolitan Police in her name before. But the whole short recording was crucial in the messages it was designed to send—to the British, Russian and international public.
