Both Matt Drudge and Alex Jones are responsible for motivating the disenfranchised to vote for Donald Trump. Now that Trump’s the imperial president—a narcissistic version of George W. Bush—it’s up to MAGA media to support the agenda, even if that agenda is markedly different than what he told us while on the campaign trail.
The moment president Donald Trump invited the neocon John Bolton to run his foreign policy it was obvious Iran would fall between the crosshairs. Bolton has advocated killing Iranians since his days as US ambassador (unconfirmed) to the UN.
Last Sunday, Trump threatened Iran and president Rouhani. The Donald felt it was necessary to use all caps to get his message across. Continue reading “Trump’s All Cap Iran Tweet: Precursor to War?”
You know it’s serious when the president tweets in all caps.
That’s what he did late Sunday. He threatened Iran after his secretary of state delivered a speech condemning the country and its religious leaders. Continue reading “Fire and Fury 2.0: Trump Threatens to Kill Countless Iranians”
Trump’s Treasury is turning up the heat on Iran. On Tuesday it imposed terror sanctions on Valiollah Seif, the governor of the Iranian central bank, and another senior official, Ali Tarzali, who works in the central bank’s international division, according to the Associated Press.
It will take a while for Trump and his crew of recycled neocons and neo-neocons—converts of the MAGA variety—to realize their perverse dream of overthrowing the mullahs in Iran.
An outright invasion is out of the question. While an invasion effectively overthrew Saddam Hussein and prepared the way for destroying Iraq, that event was preceded by more than a decade of medieval sanctions that killed over a million people, including 500,000 children. In effect, Iraq was a third world basket case with a broken military long before George W. Bush and his neocon marauders invaded.
President Trump’s trashing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action has nothing to do with nuclear weapons, missile development, or even Iran’s supposed role as the world’s top sponsor of terror.
It’s about squeezing the Iranian economy with harsh sanctions. It’s about making the people of Iran scream. It’s about overthrowing the mullahs and installing the Mujahedeen Khalq—MEK for short—also known as the People’s Mujahedeen.
Last year John Bolton, now Trump’s right hand man on foreign policy, told a gathering of MEK supporters the organization—formerly listed as a terrorist group—is a “viable” alternative to the current government in Iran.
In my exchanges in the twitterverse, I have experienced a remarkable degree of ignorance concerning the history of Iran and Syria.
MAGA supporters, in particular, seem clueless.
Iran hates us, they insist, and they want to wipe Israel off the map. Plus they are trying to get the capability to attack us with nukes, so that’s why we have to attack them first.
