It’s amusing in a cynical sort of way that everybody—well, at least Trump supporters and his loyal MAGA crowd—are outraged by Obama’s spies in the Trump campaign and revelations of the administration’s dirty tricks, including a sting of Trump aides by the Department of Justice and the FBI.
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) said “new information begs the questions: Who were the informants working for, who were they reporting to and why has the [Department of Justice] and FBI gone to such great lengths to hide these contacts?”

From Donald Trump’s perspective, the intelligence operation directed against his presidential campaign is “one of the biggest political scandals in U.S. history.”
The Donald doesn’t like to read. He prefers his information in small digestible chunks, delivered verbally by aides, who are increasingly neocon in orientation. Fox News is his primary source of political information.

Yulia Skripal has appeared in a video. From the Independent on Thursday:
She was filmed at an anonymous park-like location, reading a handwritten statement about her plight. In substance, what she said added almost nothing to the two statements issued by the Metropolitan Police in her name before. But the whole short recording was crucial in the messages it was designed to send—to the British, Russian and international public.

During the Trump campaign, I wrote a book on the influence of Frank Gaffney, the fringe neocon who has made a career pulling fire alarms, telling us Islam will destroy western civilization and enslave us to Sharia law.
Earlier this week Trump’s national security adviser John Bolton installed Fred Fleitz as the National Security Council’s executive secretary and chief of staff. Fleitz worked for Bolton at the State Department during the Bush administration. He is a senior staff member at the Center for Security Policy (CPS), a hardline neocon think tank founded by Gaffney. Its raison d’etre is taking out the mullahs in Iran, who are invariably described as “Islamofascists,” and unflattering support for the Israeli Likudnik ethnic cleansers.

Kim Jung-un was upset. Trump’s VP Mike Pence made an indelicate reference to the Libyan Model. It wasn’t a good sign following John Bolton’s use of the term. The corporate propaganda media mentioned denuclearization, but left alone “we came, we saw, he died,” Hillary Clinton’s psychopathic take on Caesar in response to Gaddafi’s brutal murder.

Facebook is “excited” to announce it has launched “a new partnership with the Atlantic Council, which has a stellar reputation looking at innovative solutions to hard problems,” for instance, killing alternative media and its disruption of the national security state’s propaganda stream.
The Atlantic Council advocates on behalf of NATO, the Cold War alliance called upon in times of need—like in Libya, where it made the murder of 30,000 people and the knife rape-murder of Gaddafi possible.

Over the past few months, I’ve lost quite a few followers on Twitter.
I attribute this to deliberate action on the part of the social media giant, although I can’t prove it.
We know social media corporations are under fire for allowing the expression of opinion and recalling of facts on their platforms contrary to the stream of propaganda put out by corporate media stenographers, which they denounce as Russian bot activity or the behavior of useful idiots for Vladimir Putin.
