The “Fake News” Lies RationalWiki Tells

I was doing research on censorship and media when I came across a doozie on the RationalWiki website.

An article of mine from 2016 posted on Activist Post is listed as an example of fake news. The article, “Obama Calls Alternative Media ‘Domestic Propagandists,’” takes a quote from remarks made by Barack Obama on December 16, 2016, during a White House news conference. I took the quote from a McClatchy news article posted that same day.

Scrub this video one minute in and you will hear the remark.

So there you have it, a supposed “rational” wiki website blasts me as a purveyor of fake news using fake information (actually a lie) to make its case. Humorously, the post describes Activist Post as a “left-wing conspiracy-mongering” website.

I’d kindly ask the sloppy and research deficient publisher to take down this bogus and defamatory citation, but why bother? It is obviously a propaganda site designed for impressionable and intellectually lazy people.

  1. “It is obviously a propaganda site designed for impressionable and intellectually lazy people. ”

That says it well. Too many folks are intellectually lazy.

  2. “Why bother?”….because if the shoe was on the other foot they’d flag you so fast and scream for your channel to be taken down until blue in the face or your channel was taken down
