US and Israel Knew Wahhabi Head-choppers Wouldn’t Win in Syria

Investigative journalist Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed has dredged up important document from the massive WikiLeaks archive. It is a draft of an internal US Marine Corps’  Intelligence Department forecasting paper produced in coordination with Strafor, often referred to as the private CIA, states a jihadi overthrow of Bashar al-Assad as highly improbable, if not impossible.

The secret military secret document reveals “that both early on and toward the later phase of the conflict, senior US military officials had not given any credence to the democratic aspirations of Syrian protestors, but had merely sought to use them as a tool to sideline expanding Iranian influence. Toppling the regime was dismissed as a highly improbable scenario, with officials indicating they believed the survival of an authoritarian Baathist governing structure—with or without Assad—was inevitable,” writes Nafeez.

It was obvious after the second invasion of Iraq the neocons have absolutely no desire to bring democracy to the Middle East. In fact, they are focused on the exact opposite in Syria—installing another Ba’athist and crushing any hope of so-called democracy while at the same time destroying the country.

Despite realizing early on Gulf Emirate funding and arming of head-chopping Sunni Wahhabi maniacs inserted in Syria with the assistance of the CIA would be incapable of overthrowing Bashar al-Assad, the policy of supporting them continued.

Not because they believed the “rebels” would be successful, but rather that destroying the country and killing hundreds of thousands of people would force a regime change from within.

More than Syria and its Shi’a Alawites, the fossilized kingdoms of the Persian Gulf along with the US and Israel are laser focused on destroying Iran.

Back in the 1950s, Israel wasn’t focused on Iran. It was ruled by a CIA-installed monarch, so overthrowing and destroying the country wasn’t on Israel’s radar until after the Iranian Islamic revolution in the late 1970s.

Instead, according to the dairies of Moshe Sharett, a former Israeli president in the early 1950s, the government was busy destabilizing its Arab neighbors, mainly Syria and Lebanon, the former through terrorist attacks (the hijacking of a Syrian passenger plane) and military confrontations along the border (on Lake Tiberias and elsewhere), the latter through invasion and attempting to install a Maronite government that would deal harshly with Palestinian refugees (as they did in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camp massacres).

Israel is so desperate to take out Iran—and kill thousands of its citizens—it has lately resorted to easily debunked claims Iran is secretly working on a nuke.

Since the election of Donald Trump, the Israelis have cozied up to US diplomats, including the UN ambassador Nikki Haley. Jared Kushner is an avowed Zionist. Trump’s national security adviser is a confirmed neocon psychopath and his secretary of state is an anti-Iran zealot.

Rumors are afoot on social media saying Israel plans another attack in Syria. This will most likely result in downed Israeli F-35s now that Syria has advanced antiaircraft systems provided by Russia.

Iran is not a threat to the United States, although it might be to Israel if it keeps pushing the envelope in Syria, killing Iranians invited into the country long with Russia by its leader.

Because Israel and the United States are connected at the hip, any serious attack on Israeli aircraft illegally bombing and killing in Syria will likely bring the US into any conflict and face-to-face with Russia.

Are you ready to sacrifice yourself for the apartheid settler policies of a racist and ethnic cleansing state? If the US and Russia start taking shots at each other, an escalation is all but ensured. War with Russia—and China, now part of a military pact with  Russia—will not be pretty. It may end life on planet Earth.
